Waitlist Privacy Notice
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This notice explains how we handle your personal data when you join the OOVIE waitlist. For our general practices, see our main Privacy Policy.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the waitlist is OOVIE Studios SA (Via Massimiliano Magatti 1, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland).
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at lorenzo@ooviestudios.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not legally required to; the address above handles all requests.
2. What data we collect
- When you enter your email on the landing page: your email address.
- When you complete the waitlist form: first name, last name, email, phone number (optional), the type of musician you are, your main music genre, and whether you agree to be contacted by our team for product questions.
- Automatically: technical and usage data via cookies and analytics — only with your consent, as described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 31 Swiss FADP), for the following purposes:
- To manage your place on the waitlist and send you early-access and launch updates.
- To confirm your email address through a double opt-in step.
- If you opt in, to contact you with occasional product questions.
- To measure and improve our site (analytics), subject to your cookie consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time (see §7). Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
4. Double opt-in
After you sign up, we email you a confirmation link. You become an active waitlist member only once you click it. If you don't confirm, we won't send you marketing emails.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that act on our instructions under a data processing agreement:
- Resend — email delivery and contact storage (United States).
- Google (Google Analytics 4) — analytics, subject to your cookie consent.
- Vercel — website hosting.
6. International data transfers
Some providers process data in the United States. These transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For transfers from Switzerland, the Standard Contractual Clauses are applied as adapted under the Swiss FADP. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards at the contact above.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, request portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also write to lorenzo@ooviestudios.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
- Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — garanteprivacy.it
- Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) — edoeb.admin.ch
8. How long we keep your data
We keep waitlist data only as long as needed for the waitlist — until public launch and up to 24 months afterwards, or until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe, whichever comes first — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice; the "last updated" date above shows the current version. We'll communicate material changes where appropriate.
