At the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, OOVIE Studios opened the World AI Film Festival with a gala built around live music, cinema, and real-time image generation. For a festival dedicated to the future of moving images, the evening offered a clear statement: AI can expand a live performance without taking the human presence out of it.

The world premiere centered on a new OOVIE film inspired by Il Postino and the emotional landscape of Luis Bacalov's music. Performed live by Seocho Philharmonia & ARKO Ensemble under conductor Marco Seco, the score became the pulse of the film as the images unfolded with the orchestra on stage.

That is what made Cannes the right stage for this chapter. WAIFF is about the future of AI in film, and OOVIE answered with a clear proposition: the most exciting use of the technology is not to replace artists, but to give performers a new expressive space. Here, AI did not dictate the rhythm. It listened, responded, and allowed music to become cinema in motion.
