Malibran Theater

Teatro Malibran was the world-premiere stage for LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS., and that first chapter had to feel unmistakably alive. During the Venice International Film Festival, OOVIE brought music, cinema, and AI into the same room and reversed the usual hierarchy: instead of musicians following a fixed film, the film followed the musicians. The result was a live cinematic experience that moved with the performance and changed with every interpretation.

The premiere brought together Maxim Vengerov, LaFil Milan Philharmonic, and Marco Seco in a program built around Ravel's Tzigane and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. On screen, OOVIE's visual system unfolded alongside the orchestra with AI film work developed in collaboration with Dustin Hollywood and Reza Sixo Safai of MASSIVE Studios. What emerged was not a backdrop but a genuine conversation between virtuosity and moving image, staged inside one of Venice's most storied theaters.

More than a launch, Malibran proved the format in front of an audience that understands cinema at the highest level. It showed that live classical performance can become cinematic without losing rigor, and that AI can expand the emotional reach of a concert when it is placed in service of musicianship rather than in competition with it.
